List of GreenLeft Members of the European Parliament : ウィキペディア英語版
List of GreenLeft Members of the European Parliament
The list a list of all Members of the European Parliament, who sit or sat in the GreenLeft delegation, as well as in the delegations of its predecessors: in 1984 the progressive Christian PPR, the communist CPN, the left-socialist PSP and the green GPN participated with a common list called the Green Progressive Accord. In 1989 the CPN, PSP and PPR participated, under the name "The Rainbow". In the same year those three parties together with the progressive Christian EVP formed the GreenLeft political party. Since 2004 GreenLeft forms a common transnational delegation with Green! from Flanders.
Between 1984 and 1994 the some of MEPs were formally required to rotate. That is the top candidate and chair sat the entire term, while the second candidate on the list (in both the 1984 and the 1989 elections the combined list won two seats) was required to give up his seat in order to make room for the third candidate on the list. This was meant to give all participating parties (CPN, PSP and PPR) an MEP for a certain period. In 1987 the PPR MEP Verbeek gave up his seat for the CPN candidate Van Dijk. In 1991 PPR MEP Verbeek refused to give up his seat, which would have been taken by the PSP-member Hontelez.
Current MEPs are bold, all chairs are in italics.
